2015…It’s a wrap!

As always around this time of the year it’s time to look back and reflect on the year that has just passed and I might as well be brutally hones; 2015 was not the best year for me however, instead of dwelling on the negatives I will rather focus on the positive highlights that enriched my life this year..

To keep it short and sweet without too many distracting stories and anecdotes I have made top5 of highlights from the past 12 months:

5: An outdoor photo shoot on Dartmoor in March with two of the most talented trial bike riders in the UK: what could possibly go wrong? The weather you say? Yes that’s exactly what went wrong! 80mph winds sweeping across the moors was exactly what made us retreat to an Exeter warehouse instead. Although I didn’t get the particular image I was after I still ended up with a selection of great shots of both Scott Wilson and Andrei Burton

4: Although I have been living, working and shooting in the mountains for more than a decade it is no secret that I do not have any formal mountain qualifications so 2015 was also the year where I commenced my Mountain Leader qualification via PYB and the British Mountaineering Council: a week in Snowdonia with a bunch of great, inspiring and talented people! Nuff’ said!

3: KulturaConnect! I’ve worked with KC in the past but seeing their 2015 issue with not only a six-page feature of my work but also one of my shots gracing the front cover was the perfect way to end the summer!

2: one of the things that I believe has had the greatest effect on me throughout the last year, is surrounding myself with positive, inspiring people. Via @TheYesTribe I have found exactly that! Culminating with the #Yestival in Godalming on a weekend in October!

1: A long bank holiday weekend in the Caribbean? Yes please! I was very fortunate to join Carling and Expedia on a five day trip to the island of Barbados in May. Exactly what the doctor ordered (literally)  my blogpost and video from this trip turned out to be extremely popular and was watched more than 4,000 times on Facebook alone during the first week it was live.. You can watch it in Full HD on YouTube too

Finally, there is nothing else to say but HAPPY NEW YEAR to every one of you! Although 2015 threw a lot of negativity in my direction as well I have emerged stronger, more confident and not least more positive than at this time last year! and remember that every little step of progress is a victory!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s roads/paths I have crossed throughout the year.. I absolutely mean it from the bottom of my heart when I say that I love you all dearly!

Let’s make 2016 a year to remember!!
